Small paintings for wintertime

Wintertime encourages me to reflect upon the year spent in Alberta's landscape. I do by making small pictures using gouache, sometimes assisted by watercolour pencils, from pictures I have taken on my outings. Here are a few examples. All are 4" by 6" or smaller.

Love the light dark pattern in the last one Terry. Very dynamic.

Terry love the way you've honed the design down to the bare essen tials. Simplicity is so under rated in this society. Do I detect a "tonalist esthetic" in some of the work:) Delightful!
